September Home of the Month

This month's home is celebrating 100 years in our neighborhood!

1700 S. Harrison was built in 1920 by C.E. Weymouth (Chanslor Edmond Weymouth). Weymouth was from Arkansas and married Fanny Fern Masterson in 1919, inheriting the Masterson's Long S Ranch properties in Moore and Potter Counties, Texas. He was a prominent cattleman and banker. He helped obtain the Pan Tech Research Farm and Killgore Beef Cattle Research Center for Texas Tech.

The home was left to the Methodist Church in the 70s and was later home to Judge Don Emmerson.

The home eventually fell into the hands of Bank of America and was left to sit for a few years. In 2014 the George family purchased the home and began the extensive renovation of the entire property. The home is currently on the market and is stunning from the inside out.

We know this house will continue to be a great family home in the Plemons Eakle Neighborhood for many more years to come. We are grateful for the George family for bringing it back to life and giving it the attention it deserves.

July Home of the Month

Diane and her son Sean live in this beautiful Plemons Eakle home built in 1952.

Interesting fact: This brick home located at 26th and Polk has a WWII bomb shelter basement with 3 feet of steel and concrete all around it.

Beautiful shrubs line the walkway and the addition of flower beds around the large trees creates an even more lush appearance.

Sean has worked hard to landscape the yard and give the home the curbside appeal and charm that deserves the Home of the Month title.

Sean says his favorite part about living in the Plemons Eakle neighborhood is living blocks away from Oliver Eakle park and Memorial park as well as the historic brick streets.

We are honored to have such a beautiful home in our neighborhood. Thank you, Diane and Sean!

June's Home of the Month goes to this fine abode built in 1917. This house look young for its age!

Located at the corner of Monroe Street and Wolflin Avenue you'll find finely apportioned and well-kept landscaping, even in the alleyway. It represents what a lot of homes in our neighborhood can become with a little work and a lot of love. Thank you, to this neighbor, for showing pride in their home!
